Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC drops
For fans of BioWare’s Mass Effect franchise today is <insert holiday of choice> in June. The free Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut DLC has just dropped, expanding on the endings through added scenes and epilogue sequences.
BioWare’s really pulled out the stops here. Along with the extra scenes, they’ve brought back composer Sam Hulick to craft over fifteen minutes of original music. All this content clocks in at a whopping 1.9 gig download, which, if you’re going by a dollar to size ratio, clocks in a pretty friggin’ good deal.

According to a podcast released by BioWare Community Manager Jessica Merizan, Mass Effect Executive Producer Casey Hudson and Mass Effect Lead Writer Mac Walters this DLC offers closure to fans in the form of several minutes of additional content per ending, questions answered and player story choices better reflected.
They also believe this DLC will satisfy the more radical fans who have been calling for a complete rewrite of the ending, saying the Extended Cut was created taking fan feedback to heart.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a Galactic Readiness Rating to bring up and a galaxy to save.
