Download Battlefield 1942 For Free On EA Origin
To help celebrate 10 years of EA and DICE’s Battlefield Franchise, the company has released the first game in the series as a free download. Basically, everyone can now download Battlefield 1942 for free on EA Origin.
I remember playing Battlefield 1942 back in 2002 and was blown away by it’s sandbox-type multiplayer action. Yeah it was a first-person shooter and you have to kill your opponents, but winning matches actually required players to cooperate and hold key capture points on each the game’s gigantic maps. Up to 64 players could play at the same time and it was one of the few games (at that time) that nailed multi-player vehicle use within in the competitive FPS market.
