Just a few minutes ago, Electronic Arts announced that Crytek is indeed developing Crysis 3 and will ship the game in 2013. EA and Crytek are already calling Crysis 3 the “premier sandbox shooter experience” that utilizes Crytek’s proprietary CryENGINE 3.
In Crysis 3, players are cast as Prophet as he goes on a revenge mission against CELL. He discovers that the corporation encased New York City in a Nanodome in an attempt to covertly attempt a land and technology grab in their quest for global domination. The new environments feature a mix of urban and jungle locations, as well as dense swamplands and rivers. Of course, with new treacherous environments, comes dangerous Cell operatives and other types of enemies that Prophet is intent on destroying.

Crysis 2 Review (PC, Xbox 360, and PS3)
The original Crysis for the PC required many gamers to upgrade their computers in order to play the game on maximum specifications. At that time, game consoles were not powerful enough to even display the game properly.
Fast forward to this generation and the release of Crysis 2. It’s a visual powerhouse that pushes both the PS3 and Xbox 360 graphically. The vast ruins of New York cityscapes are rendered beautifully, with lighting and textures that put most other first person shooters to shame. Read the rest of this entry
