Award Winning Papo & Yo Coming to Steam This April
Montreal-based Minority Media announced this week that their award-winning Papo & Yo is coming to Steam this April. Originally a PlayStation 3 exclusive, the Steam version of Papo & Yo is reported to include a number of updates, improvements, and additions for its PC release.
If you’ve been following JTM over the last year or so, you’ll notice that I’ve covered the game extensively, as Papo & Yo has (in my opinion) one of the most personal and socially relevant stories in the last few years. The game is a semi-biographical/metaphorical story of Creative Director Vander Caballero as he dealt with issues such as his father’s alcoholism and abuse. As the title alludes to, Papo & Yo deals with a not-so-good father and son relationship. Its world is a fantasy world in which Quico creates in order to escape from his traumatic past.
See what Vander had to say about Papo & Yo’s upcoming Steam release (plus screenshots of the game) after the break. Read the rest of this entry

Klei Entertainment Giving Away Two Signed Shank Statues
Klei Entertainment, the developers behind the popular Shank franchise is giving away two limited-edition signed Shank statues in their latest Facebook Shank contest. The two statues to be given away are both 6.5 inches tall and will come signed and include Steam codes for the games Shank and Shank 2.
The statues to be won are actually different. One is in full color, and the other black and white. And they’re of really limited quantities. There are only 300 of these color statues and 100 of the black and white statues in existence.
But that’s not all, once the statues have been won, Klei will be picking ten more from the entries to win their choice Steam code for either Shank or Shank 2 for PC.

Overwhelming Evidence Point Towards Cloud-Gaming-Ready Consoles
Over the last few years, the rise of companies and services like Gaikai, Onlive, and of course Steam have really shown that the industry is starting to lean towards cloud-gaming, and I’d even dare to say that the next-generation of consoles (which many say could be the last) WILL support some kind of cloud-gaming service to compliment the traditional console disc-based and digital download gaming functionalities.
Remember those rumors stating that Sony was partnering with Gaikai to bring PS1 and PS2 backward compatibility to the PS3 (or perhaps to Vita or future consoles)? There has to be some evidence that this will happen very very soon.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Valve Interview
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Valve Interview
Valve is hard at work at creating the newest game in its ultra-popular multiplayer franchise. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is the fourth game in the CS franchise and one that is supported by the many Counter-Strike councils and the community. Global Offensive is a downloadable title that will be available for PC, and for the first time, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012.
For the last 12 years, Counter-Strike has been at the forefront of FPS gaming mod communities as well as gaming tournament worldwide. What started out as a mod by two guys, became a sensation, a game that was played by religiously by many even more than a decade after it’s release.
JTM Games had a chance to talk with Ido Magal , Project Lead and Chet Faliszek, Writer at Valve Corporation to discuss details about Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. check out the interview and gameplay footage after the break.
