Continuing this week’s theme of action figures based on popular video games, we’re going to focus on Square-Enix’s upcoming Nathan Drake action figure from his most recent blockbuster, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. As part of the Play Arts Kai series, the Nathan Drake figure is the product of beautiful workmanship.
As with the Metal Gear Solid figures, each are meticulously sculpted from PVC and has multiple points of articulation that allows for multiple pose types; perfect for those who love to reenact scenes from their favorite games.
The 8.7 inch Nathan Drake Play Arts Kai figure is dressed in his desert clothes, including scarf, holster and bandoleer. Each package also comes packed with Drake’s signature weapons such as the Dragon Sniper, the AKS-74U, a 9mm handgun, and two removable and replaceable hands for perfect gun posing positions.

The Recycled Plot Points of Uncharted 3
By Walker Banerd
*MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD FOR UNCHARTED 2 & 3*
In my Uncharted 3 review about two weeks ago, I noted that it suffers a bit from “Hangover Part 2 syndrome”, meaning that I felt many story beats from Uncharted 2 were transposed into the new game without much change. The contexts are new, but the essence of the content is the same. I thought it would be fun to take a handful of these shared plot points, and put them side-by-side to illustrate my point.
Once more, there are spoilers ahead. As in, pretty much every major plot point from both games flat-out ruined. If you haven’t played both games all the way through, now would be the time to stop reading.
So, in no particular order: Read the rest of this entry
What do you look for in a game? If you said “fun,” you should probably pick up Uncharted 3. If you said “kick-ass action,” you should probably pick up Uncharted 3. If you said “deep and addictive multiplayer,” you should probably picked up Uncharted 3. If you said…
Okay, you get my point. If you own a PS3, you should prob–scratch that, you want to have a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in your library.
Uncharted 3 represents, to my eyes, the pinnacle of Popcorn Gaming: in the same way I lined up to see Avatar, plan on lining up to see The Dark Knight Rises, and regularly line up to see every Steven Spielberg movie (well, blockbuster-mode Spielberg at least), I will probably never not — after the unbelievable Uncharted 2: Among Thieves — accompany Nathan Drake, his pal Sully, and the gang on their globetrotting adventures. Uncharted 3 Review
By Walker Banerd
I’m just going to come right out and say it: Nathan Drake looks great soaking wet.
He also looks good in the light of a burning building or stumbling across sand dunes. In fact, there isn’t much that doesn’t look amazing in Uncharted 3, Naughty Dog’s latest third-person epic. The signature Uncharted marriage of great technical achievements with Hollywood blockbuster storytelling is back, making for another excellent game in the franchise. Make no mistake, Uncharted 3 is a definite success, but that said, cracks are beginning to show in the formula. Read the rest of this entry

Who Should Play Nathan Drake In The Uncharted Film? (Poll)
Nathan Drake, the protagonist of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is known to his fans as the everyman, an inherently flawed character with good intentions, a strong will, a penchant for cracking jokes, with a knack of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
